Bakultali Mahila Sangshad (BMS) is a women-led, grassroots non-profit organization dedicated to transforming the lives of women and children in the disaster-prone and economically marginalized northern reaches of Bangladesh. Founded in 1998 in the Joymonirhat Union of Kurigram district, BMS was born from a simple yet powerful vision: to create a society that is economically prosperous, socially just, and democratically governed.
BMS (Bakultali Mahila Sangshad) is a women-led non-profit voluntary organization based in northern Bangladesh, actively working since 1998 to empower women and girls for a world of equal opportunities and full potential. BMS is a dynamic force for positive change, championing gender equality and women's empowerment. The organization addresses a wide range of critical issues, including gender equality, non-formal & formal primary education, economic empowerment, disaster risk reduction (DRR), Handcrafts, Mother & Child Care, climate change resilience, WaSH, livelihood, and the localization of humanitarian aid & IGAs training etc.
